In 1998 a small group of motorcyclists decided that they needed an opportunity to take their bikes across to Europe to enjoy good roads. The trip was so successful that a second trip was organised for the next year and the Old Gits group was born. Over the years various new people have joined in on the now annual European tours and the Old Gits group has increased in numbers.
